“Just to let you know it was amazing walking down the road” – What an Agoraphobia client says about Nicola

Agoraphobia is a fear of being in situations where escape might be difficult, or help wouldn’t be available if things go wrong. This testimonial came from a client who suffered from agoraphobia! From a client who hasn’t been outside her front door for months after a panic attack. At the end of Nicola’s session (Nicola went to her flat), she was keen to go to the shops. The following day she went out again.

Hi Nicola,

Just to let you know it was amazing walking down the road, I found a couple of times the brain wandering but reined it back in and was determined, crossed the road haven’t done that for a long long time.

Went in to the Co-op which I just followed an elderly man in and went straight to the mag counter to grab neighbour a tv mag… and no queue but coped with paying as normal 🙂

Went next door and the people in the chemist were very surprised to see me, I really hadn’t a clue what to buy and I didn’t need to but I did remember I needed some tissues soon so got those.

Walked home felt the experience hadn’t lasted long enough but was very aware I had to be here for Tesco delivery.

Once Tesco had gone popped next door to deliver her mag and something else, and was biting at the bit to do more, but in the end decided to read your paper work and tried that, Now that I find harder so that does need practice.

So Nicola I am such a happy person this evening and so proud that I got in touch with you and you have made a huge difference in my life.

Sorry for the lengthy email put it down to excitement. Will stay in touch if that is ok.

Many many thanks
